There is nothing better than government accountability. Although I was not in favor of this tax due to the fact that it would be used more for education than real projects, I want to give it a chance and this is a great way to see if our Mayor can accomplish his goal of a 30% reduction in carbon emissions by 2012 as he has told the people of Boulder. I have been completely frustrated about the lack of follow-up on this issue in the media, and the story is the same for other intiatives around the world. How is there to be accountability if the news media only reports on the plans and intentions of governments and organizations?
